Firefox 2 Release Candidate 2

07Oct06

Firefox LogoMozilla released its Firefox 2 Rc2 this weekend. Features, including a new theme that updates Firefox’s familiar interface; built in phishing protection; enhanced search engine management and search suggestions for Google, Yahoo!, and Answers.com; improved tab browsing, which includes the ability to re-open recently closed tabs; plus the ability to resume from where the user left-off after a system crash or browser restart.

The changes in this release RC2 are almost exclusively behind-the-scenes security, performance, and stability fixes, so if you were using RC1 don’t expect much.

If you had RC1 and have automatic updates turned on, you’ve probably already been notified of the new version and have it installed already. If not, now’s the perfect time to download the latest Firefox 2 Release Candidate build from Mozilla.com.
