Windows Media LogoWindows Media Player 11 is the multimedia software developed by Microsoft to provide users with the ability to view multimedia content, both from the Internet and from their hard drive. You can use Windows Media Player 11 to play and organize digital media files on your computer and on the Internet. The new player was designed with user feedback from previous versions in mind. Gone are many of the irrelevant curvy user interface elements, in favor of a sleeker design. As in previous versions, various tools are arranged into tabbed sections at the top of the window, such as Now Playing, Library, Rip, Burn, Sync, and making its debut in the default configuration.

Latest changes:

  • Fixes have been made for issues that occurred in the first beta release of Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP
  • Additional online stores are now available
  • Changes to sharing digital media content
