Check out the new Office Online website. The new Office 2007 Online Portal is now out of beta.
They have adopted the “ribbon” look into the web design which is a similar look to the Microsoft Office 2007 using the ribon interface. Office Online features quick access to Help and How to (tips and tricks) on getting the most out of Office 2007.

Windows Media Player released its new revamped version 11, it does a nice job of organization, ripping, syncing, and has some new features you will like. Besides being the eye-candy, this version logically organizes all types of media and by default provides many different views you can use to quickly drill down to the media you want. Creating playlists is an easy task, as well as search, renaming tracks, and new media discovery. The interface is clean, not clunky anymore, and clearly holds an advantage over previous versions. If you haven’t been a fan in the past, this version may change your mind. Music store integration is still good, including URGE (if you are into that sort of thing), and many other stores like WMP 10 had, but WMP 11 has better search this time. WMP 11 home page.

Winamp v5.31 Released!
Nullsoft Winamp is a fast, flexible, high-fidelity music player for Windows. Winamp supports MP3, CD, Audiosoft, Audio Explosion, MOD, WAV and other audio formats, custom appearances called skins, plus audio visualization and audio effect plug-ins.
Winamp Remote, and Winamp Dashboard are new features introduced. Remote lets you access your Winamp music library from anywhere on the web, and Dashboard is a way to add online video and other feeds to your winamp, Both features are in beta.

Mozilla has officially released the final version of Firefox 2 and is available for download.
If you haven’t used previous release candidate, new in Firefox 2 is an updated theme, built-in phishing protection, as-you-type search suggestions, Session Restore, improved feed previews and subscription options, inline spell check, microsummaries, Live Titles, and a variety of security, performance, user interface, and technology enhancements. orkut Doesn’t Require Invitation
orkut, Google’s social network, doesn’t need an invitation anymore. You can sign in using your Google Account.
orkut is an online community website designed for friends. The main goal of this service is to make your social life, and that of your friends, more active and stimulating. orkut’s social network can help you both maintain existing relationships and establish new ones by reaching out to people you’ve never met before. Who you interact with is entirely up to you. Before getting to know an orkut member, you can even see how they’re connecting to you through the friends network.
orkut has around 30 million users, and more than 60% of its users are from Brazil. It was launched in 2004, the same year Google unveiled Gmail.

As mentioned earlier, Microsoft’s plans of pushing its IE7 for public distribution. Yes, Internet Explorer 7 is done! Microsoft has finally managed to roll out the new IE7 on their scheduled day October 18 2006. Download Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 by clicking here.

For those unfamiliar with the IE7 Betas, IE7 offers several things that IE6 does not:
- || Improved security including phishing detection
- || A slicker interface with support for tabs
- || Integated “instant” search
- || Ability to read RSS feeds
- || A better printing interface
And Yahoo! Seemingly released a customized version of Internet Explorer 7 a bit earlier. Yahoo!’s version of IE7 includes the Yahoo! toolbar and uses Yahoo!’s search tool as a default. It also features two home pages, Yahoo! and Yahoo! News
Firefox 2 is in reach (RC3 released recently) and with IE7, browser competition is certainly heating up. For time being enjoy the new IE – which is cool!
